Bio: Erik Theisz comes to 38 Studios from Sony Online Entertainment, where he was a design supervisor and associate producer. An integral member of the EverQuest II launch team, he also worked on the subsequent launches of Desert of Flames, Kingdom of Sky, and Echoes of Faydwer. He gained earlier experience on the SOE customer service team working on the successful launch of EverQuest Online Adventures, one of the few massively multiplayer online games for PS2. His career in game development began in Boulder, Colorado as a production assistant and quality assurance tester at VR-1/Jaleco Entertainment, where he worked on two Xbox titles, Nightcaster: Defeat the Darkness (an original Xbox launch title) and its sequel, Nightcaster II: Equinox, as well as EverNight: The Reign of Darkness, and Fighter Ace II. Erik studied English Literature at the University of New Mexico where he played college soccer for the nationally ranked Lobos and the semi-professional Albuquerque Chiles.
