Abstract: The goal for this talk is to relay things I've learned and to provide insight into the current, and future state of the game industry. Topics will include a mix of current industry standard ideas (why you must know C++, how important communication is, teamwork) and emerging trends (3rd party hosting, publisher agreements, middleware, hot technology). The hope is that I can provide interesting and valuable insight that would have been very valuable to me when I was in school and first looking to break into the game industry.
